last supper

We had our last Bradley class on Saturday and celebrated by going out to dinner afterward. It was a wonderful way to gather and be amongst people that share our outlook on natural childbirth amongst other "natural" life choices. The next time we will all be together we will be with our new babies. I can't wait for that reunion. We are all due within a couple weeks of each other for the most part. Friends for life!

new bed

My new location for sleep has come to the couch. Due to bad back and joint pain, I decided to give it a try after another restless night in the bed. Last night was my first night on the couch and I never slept better pregnant! I slept in the corner where our 2 sections meet with pillows behind me and under my legs and I didn't even wake up to pee once I was out! That is a record since I have been getting up 4-6 times a night when I sleep on the bed. I closed all the blinds and it was nice and dark so when I woke up this morning, I thought it was somewhere around 4:00 AM, nope, it was 8:45! What a relief! I just hope it stays this good.

Baby Shower 6-19-10

My sister in law threw me a beautiful baby shower yesterday. It was an afternoon filled with lots of laughs and chocolate poop. Looking back on the pictures, I wish that I had posed with people that were there because all I have are action shots and not one with my own mom! My favorite game that we did was, each person got some magazines and a scrapbook page. They had to cut and paste body parts and make a baby that would look like what they thought Baby would be. I had to pick my favorite as the winner, and then all the pages were put into a lovely scrapbook for me. What a cool idea. I was very depressed that a lot of my friends didn't come and I even cried for a moment in the morning, but I got over it and was very thankful for the people who did come to celebrate with me.

Church Vows 6-5-10

Today we took our wedding vows in the Catholic church, it's called a convalidation ceremony. It's for couples that are married, but were not married in the church. B and I got married in a big beautiful beach wedding on July 26, 2008. I wanted to receive the sacrament of marriage through the church and it became a stronger desire as we were trying to get pregnant. The whole process took quite a while and so here we are together in front of God and I am 7 and a half months along. B is not Catholic but he saw how important this was to me and did it for me.

It was a very emotional experience for me especially having our little baby be a part of it. I kept it together until Brian turned to me and said his vows, I lost it right then and even Fr. Sherry got chocked up. It was a private ceremony, but we were surrounded by our best friends, Matt and Sue, my dad, and B's mom. It was very special and meaningful to me on so many levels.

curtains

B put the curtains up this weekend and I just love them. He has been working so hard on refinishing furniture as well. We are all about using what we have instead of buying everything new. I love the idea of taking something from old to new again. He is painting all of the furniture white, except for the crib. I cannot wait to have the nursery finished and I will post all the pictures and what we did. I hope to be done by the baby shower date of June 19th. The colors are turquoise, white, and bright yellow. I like the idea of using colors from my favorite things, the ocean and the sun.
