interesting shopping

You know you are a stressed mom when you go shopping with your nursing bra unclipped, TWICE in one week!  Good grief.

moving day

It's been quiet around here so we can pack, pack, and pack.  UGh!  Still lots left to do and the movers are going to be here bright and early at 8am.  Caleb has now an expert at pulling himself up on anything and everything.  SO watch out, because if you're close he will pull himself up on you too!!  He loves to play holding a teether in his mouth.  He reminds me of a puppy with it's chew toy.

Caleb doesn't like grass

Caleb got to experience grass for the first time today and he didn't like it one bit!  We tried to put him down on it again, and he just straightened out his legs in protest.  It was awesome.

Bradley gathering

We got together with our Bradley group this Sunday for some good food and company.  The babies just played while we all watched and took loads of photos and vids.  It's so nice to get together with such great friends that share a common bond.

9 months

Look what new trick Caleb is doing at 9 months! All he wants to do now is practice pulling himself up and standing, over and over and over.

He's had blueberries, kiwis, and cauliflower as new foods this month. I still make most of his food except on rare occasion I use the Plum organics or Happy Baby pouches.

Caleb is wearing 12-18 month clothes and size 4 diapers. He still can fit into the 3's so we are using up what we have left of those and using the 4's at night.

He is sleeping from 8pm to between 630-7-30am straight through the night. Caleb eats 4 times a day and naps twice. His routine is somewhat like this:

7:00ish-wake and nurse
8:15-banana oatmeal, or plain yogurt with rice cereal and fruit mixed in (at Kristine's)
9:00ish nap (usually 2-3 hours)
11:30 5oz bottle (or nurse on weekend)and lunch solids-veggie and fruit
1:00ish-afternoon nap (45 min to 1.5 hours)
3:30-5oz bottle (nurse on weekends) and a finger food snack like rice biscuits or banana pieces
5:30 sometimes a cat nap for 30-45 min)
6:30 nurse and dinner solids veggie mixed with a grain blend, fruit or chicken with veggie, fruit blend (I vary his foods every day and always am making and freezing food cubes of various blends)
7:30-bath and play for a bit
8:00-rock with mama and read a book. I put him in crib awake with his lullaby CD on, currently it's Coldplay, and his light show mobile and he goes to bed on his own.

We go to the doctor next week so I will post his stats then.  I'm guessing around 22lbs.  He is squealing and  talking constantly.  He forgot all about saying mama lately and is now all about "dada" and "daddy"

Sorry, this pic doesn't match the others.  This one was because he was  so darn cute kneeling today.

It started innocently

Hmmmm, what's this stuff?

It feels funny

I need another look

What happens when I let go?  I make a mess for mama to clean up. Repeat...

This week has been on and off for the weather.  It started in the mid 80's and now it is in the 40's and rainy.  Here are some random photos from the past few days.

Oh and Caleb did turn 9 months old on Friday the 13th, but I haven't snapped a photo of him yet, so I will do a post on his stats soon.  I promise sis.

This springy door stopper keeps Caleb entertained after every bath.  He would play with the darn thing all night if I let him, he's obsessed!  And I just love that hiney!!!

It was so hot and humid in the house that it was a good day to just hang out in our diapey.
First time brushing Caleb's teeth.  I think he was confused!
Just a happy boy crawling all over the place.

Caleb enjoyed going to the park today to feed the ducks.  No fancy camera today, just our cell phone, but it captured the moments we spent there nicely.  Caleb loved feeling the wind in his hair and just watching the seagulls fly around.  He also tried to eat the bread instead of throwing it at the ducks.  We have time to work on that though.

mother's day

I really got spoiled rotten today.  My hubs pulled out all the stops to make this day truly memorable.  Today was filled with beautiful memories that I will keep tucked away in my heart, like the card from caleb, with his handprint and footprint signature.   The mister is an amazing cook, he made all 3 dishes.  Spinach strawberry salad, shrimp & artichokes, and Thai lettuce cups.
 Nana with Caleb
It was a lovely day for a walk today, so we strolled through the neighborhood.
Caleb was fascinated by Poppy's beard.

heart wrenching

Crap, my hubs directed me to a new blog to read today.   It is the story of an amazing father and the loss of  his wife 24 hours after giving birth to their daughter.  This blog is written by the dad who was left behind to raise his daughter and grieve the sudden loss of his love.  Let your new addiction begin.

Here's where you'll want to start

Oh and make sure you have Kleenex and no where to go.

new trick

Caleb crawled for the first time today.  It was amazing to watch him do it.  He starts out army crawling, then pops up and crawls right on his way.
