santa?

my dearest caleb,
we took you to see santa for the first time this year and you were a bit unsure of why i was trying to get you to set on his lap, but when you saw the sucker he had for you, you lit up like the most beautiful christmas tree.

all you have been asking for this christmas is suckers, what a great surprise to get one.  when we finished eating our lunch, you decided that it would be ok give pound it with santa.

time out

caleb loves time outs and will put himself in them often.  he is very good at sitting there until we take him off and says that he is a bad boy.  we can't help but crack up silently as we hear that little voice say those words to himself.  it's not like he goes into time out a lot either, just a few times. 

today, caleb put his chick in time out and was cracking himself up talking to it.

gobble gobble 2012

 on our way to the food bank delivering groceries that we bought, it felt good to give

 on the way back, we treated ourselves to some sweets from the chocolate shop

so i had a photo-bomber while trying to shoot my outfit pics, i didn't get any decent pictures except for the adorable boy who loves to get his picture taken.

conversations

yesterday caleb and i had a convo that went like this:

me:  are you sick?

caleb:  yea

me:  where are you sick?

caleb:  mmm eyes...

me:  ok, mama kiss your eyes.  where else are you sick?

caleb:  nose

my response was the same as above and then caleb was sick on:

hair
mouth
tummy

and we went through the routine of kissing all the sick parts, until...

he said he was sick on his penis.

me:  buddy, mama can't kiss that part

brian's cracking up in the kitchen making some off color remarks as usual.

trucks

boys and their trucks.  there was an event where all of the municipal trucks are on display and children get to touch them and sit in them.  what fun it was, except when you get the daylights scared out of you from a semi blasting your head off.

because who doesn't like to watch tv with a strainer on their head?!

airplanes

caleb is a bit obsessed with airplanes and can spot one from so far away, that we can barely see it.  we took him to see them up close and caleb couldn't get enough.  he especially loved to sit in the airplane and play with the controls.

caleb's birthday

i know that i have been on a long hiatus, but i am hoping that i can find more time to write, as i really miss doing this.  caleb turned 2 on august 13th and it was a beautiful celebration filled with a lot of love.  i hope you can see that in these photos.
